Where should I be applying as a transfer?

<p>Hey guys,
Not too happy with how I did in HS, so I decided to turn it around. I'm going to PSU in fall but I'll have to transfer out in fall because of financial reasons (I live in Texas so out-of-state is killer). Anyways I'm pretty serious now, and I'm confident I can do a lot better with a college transfer when I apply next January because the past two months I kicked it up. I just want your take on what colleges I should be looking at?</p>

<p>Here's my current information (subject to change)</p>

<p>HS GPA: 3.3 Unweighted (Ugly, I know)
College: Aiming for all A's (4 out of 5 Honor courses)</p>

<p>6 AP tests this May (Score fives on practice tests)
Calc AB
Human Geo
US Gov
Envi Sci
Psychology
Macro</p>

<p>SATs: Get 2250s on practice tests - I retake them in October</p>

<p>Subject tests (aiming for 750s) - taking them in December
Math IIs
Italian
Biology</p>

<p>ECs
Intern at my Town Hall (Work with the mayor and council and so on)
Sumer Exchange Program to Turkey
Eagle Scout
Volunteered at Soup Kitched since 8th Grade
Short Filmmaker
Guitar/Bass
Ran a marathon
Waiter at Chili's
Trap & Skeet Shooting competitively</p>

<p>So yeah, please let me know which colleges would be in the ballpark if this goes to plan?</p>

<p>You clearly have great stats now for a lot of great schools. I think that you should focus on what you actually want to do: major, future job, social aspects, and the type of school that will fit those needs. You have great stats, and would be a competitive candidate anywhere.</p>

<p>I’m also going to apply as a transfer in January! Can’t wait!</p>
