I'm seriously considering ROTC in one of the military branches (whichever one takes me, I'm really interested in them all). I'm not wanting to go out for Ivy League or anything. I'm thinking good state schools, not mega-select private schools, that kind of thing.

And, out of curiosity, what if I applied for Vanderbilt right now as an in-state student?

to find a listing of Army ROTC programs that offer such things. Lots of them out there.

I understand the extreme pressure to find affordable higher education. However, I will caution you that you should know what you are signing up for and fully embrace the concept of serving your country for 8 years (mix of active and reserve duty) after your education is complete. For those who really desire the mission, it is like getting paid to do what you really want.

Can’t help you with Vandy though.
