Where should I go for SAT prep?

I've heard that Princeton Review have a pretty good program but I'm also looking into something that I can compare with any ideas? Anyone ever heard or know how Sylvan are? Thanks!

Don't waste your money on these programs. They're disgustingly expensive and not nearly as helpful as you might imagine. I suggest you buy a good prep book or two and study yourself... you'll be just as prepared (if not better prepared) and have heavier pockets at the same time.

I recommend the official collegeboard SAT prep book. And take as many practice tests as you can... do some random sections in the bathroom, at the dinner table, when you watch TV - any time, any place!

PR is bad, sylvan is horrible

they're for people with 1400 SAT's trying to bring it up to a 1800

orrican has a point- they are expensive but if u can spare the money tehn theyre a good idea...

So best way would be buying a book eh? Ok, thank you!

I definitely agree with that. I took a class for one section of the SAT and it didn't help at all.

Practice, practice, practice.

Just like everyone else said ...

The programs are horrible, I took the PR course and it did NOTHING

They just tell you to do stuff that you would do on your own anyway, common sense stuff like, eliminate it if it doesn't pertain to the question

I suggest you just get "PR's 10 real SATs" book, and then do those tests on your own, they give explanations to the answers at the end of every test so that'll REALLY help you :)

Ok cool, thanks
