Hi there...

I just knew that I was accepted by both Pasadena City College and De Anza College. Which one is better?

Where should I go?

Can you guys give me some suggestions?

Thanks

Pasadena City College.........

anyone know ?

Definetly PCC. My bro is there now and loves it, plus its a great feeder into UCLA and USC.

really?

PCC is better than De Anza??

How about the enviroment?

Which one is more beautiful and bigger?

You can be accepted in ANY of the California Community Colleges if you are accepted into 1. Do classes at BOTH either concurrently or consecutively.

My vote is for PCC.

PCC baby! just visit the campus once. shatford library is awesome.

My vote goes to De Anza college !!

Both of them are good. it is hard for me to make a choice

Depends on which college you live closer to.. Some people stress that Santa Monica City College is the number 1 feeder school to UCLA and USC for the last 10 years, but what I don't understand is that some people are willing to commute for one hour (my friend commutes 1 and a half hour) just so they can go to Santa Monica when they have perfectly fine community colleges around their area say ten- fifteen minutes away! I would much rather spend my time studying than commuting so you go figure. No matter where you go, It's your grades, motivation, and dedication that matters, not where you are transfering from. Just join the honors program and earn a decent GPA and you'll have just as good of a chance as somebody transfering out from a top feeder school.

Do you guys prefer going some community college that can make a better grade?

I heard some of my friends said that if the community college do not have many chinese, it can get a higher GPA easily.

push!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chinese eh?

and what ethnicity aer you?

community college is a game.

go to the easiest one you can find, scout all your teachers with ratemyprofessor.com, get a high g.p.a., then transfer to any school you want.

totally agree w/ domino.

I go to SMC, i asked a ucla rep if i will receive any adittional consideration when i apply, she said "none"

Every cc is the same, some might offer more classes though.

She also told me that the best acceptance rate was from some Valley college at close to 65% or something.

If u're interested in UCLA, try joing scholars/tap.

I think the easiest thing to do it sign the TAG and even transfer in less than 2 years if u're motvated and don't have many prereqs to do.

I think the reason that no CCC has an advantage over another IN THE ADMISSIONS process is they are required to not consider that. It would be unfair to those living in areas with CCCs that have less resources etc.

so, did you guys know anything about East Los Angeles College?

push!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to go to Berk...De Anza is great. No doubt.

If you want to go to UCLA...the south cal colleges have high transfer rates..esp SMC.

As for difficulty, De Anza science/math/CS is rigorous. Also there are a lot of smart students. But you will be well prepared for an university.

Since I have not taken any classes at PCC....I can't comment on it.

Just go visit both campuses. Ask people for their experience. Check out assist to see which one best suits your needs.

indie,

I go to SMC, although we put the most students into UCLA, our acceptance % is not very good.

It's a very crowded campus w/ tons of student who apply.

In the end, u will want a CC that will be conducive to earning highest grades.

This is my totally biased opinion, i am science major. If i have a bad teacher but gives me a good grade, i can always read the book and learn on my own. But getting that high grade will get me into a good school.

thats just how i feel about.
