I got into Northwestern officially: McCormick School of Engineering. They posted the decision online (if you applied check your email for instructions) today. I got into CIT and Tepper (@ Carnegie Mellon). I received my letter from MIT last week. According to my stats I am a very very very lucky person....MIT is my dream school, but everyone is telling me that I can get rich quicker with a degree from CMU....
I want to major in Materials Science and Engineering....MSE ranks: MIT #1,
Northwestern # 2, CMU # 10....I believe

But I also want to dabble in business....Tepper is where I want to be if I want to make money right after college....But I love science....I didn't apply to SLOAN @ MIT....
Northwestern has a very good school....

I haven't received financial aid....they all say next month Ill get my package...

haha dude you are only lucky person. Seriously, if I were you, I would def go to MIT as it has near perfect engineering. Also you could still take courses at Sloan right?

I am very impressed and proud of you my man. Your success just goes to show that people with slightly less stats can get into the big leagues :)

I'll have to go with MIT as well on this one. You can't beat its engineering, and I wouldn't listen to the people telling you that a CMU degree will make you rich quicker.

Visit MIT and then visit CMU. It is true MIT is better if you are more focused towards science/engineering but since you are interested in a double major it might be in your interest to come to CMU (easy double majoring) and allow yourself more diversity rather than pure science.

Ugh, way too many people have the impression that MIT is only science. There're other schools there besides the schools of engineering and science. And MIT students can cross-register at HARVARD - doesn't get much more diverse than that.

MIT, you've got sloan and you can cross register at harvard.....congrats , you are one lucky guy/gal... btw would you mind posting your stats to give us less than avg guys a bit of hope?
