Where should I go to college??

My top choices are Dartmouth, Brown, and Vanderbilt - already admitted
-with finaid, the costs of all 3 are very similar
-Bio/Chem/Pre-med major

Things I want in my college experience:
-Awesome teachers
-Strong Bio/Chem department
-Great (& hopefully attractive!) guys
-Fun parties & a lot to do on campus
-School Spirit!
-Maybe some fun traditions?
-A school name that will help me get into medical school

So where should I go?

Ps if you answer mine and post a link to your thread, I'll post an answer to it.
Kinda like you scratch my back & I'll scratch yours, ya dig??

I really can’t recommend Dartmouth enough. Great school, wonderful people, and every medical school in the country will give you fair consideration.

U.S. News ranked Dartmouth #1 in undergraduate teaching, so the teachers are top-notch.

Bio/Chem departments are strong, as reflected by the med school acceptance rate, which is twice the national average.

Because of all the outdoor activities at Dartmouth, guys are generally quite fit.

The movie Animal House was based on Dartmouth’s frat scene. The parties are fantastic!

I can’t quantify school spirit for you, but I can say Dartmouth has it.

Dartmouth has plenty of traditions. See: [Dartmouth College traditions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Dartmouth College traditions - Wikipedia)

Dartmouth is prestigious. (In fact, it’s probably the most prestigious of the three, though some might make the argument that Brown is more prestigious.)

I would say right off the bat that Brown sounds like a bad fit for you. Dartmouth and Vanderbilt both fit your requirements very very well. Dartmouth doesn’t have the sports scene that Vandy has nor does it have access to a major city like Vandy. On the other hand, I would consider Dartmouth’s Greek scene to be much more inclusive than Vandy’s and I also think that Dartmouth will offer a better “community-feel” because it’s a smaller, more tight-knit student body. These are just my opinions though. I would visit Vandy and Dartmouth and pick the one you feel more comfortable at.

Dartmouth no question

Dartmouth, but bviously I’m biased. Definitely visit all three if you can, because that’s really the best way to get a feel for a school, but some of my observations:

Dartmouth is number one in undergrad teaching, and profs here really are great; they love talking with students, taking time to talk to you one on one, and are mostly great lectures who are passionate about their topics and speak knowledgeably.

Bio/chem is very popular here, as is pre med…Dartmouth has a very strong program, as well as opportunities for undergrads to work or do research through the hospital or med school, in addition to all the opportunities through the college itself.

Dartmouth guys are very attractive. Very attractive. To quote a friend “It’s kind of a problem.”

There are a ton of fun parties, and I have more of a problem not making it to all the things I want to do than I do finding something to do. The Greek scene is great, because its so open; its one of my favorite parts of life here.

School spirit is awesome…everyone is genuinely happy to be here, and passionate about the school. as for traditions–DOC trips, blame it on the boogie, tennis balls, the bonfire, the snow sculpture, the salty dog rag…Dartmouth has a ton!

And we have the name, although you shouldn’t base your decision on that.

thanks so much everyone! I’m pretty sure Dartmouth is my choice.
