where should I go?

<p>Ok, so I'm graduating college next semester yay! There is only one problem: I have absolutely no idea where I should go next and quite frankly, I’m distressed about this indecisiveness.</p>

<p>My major is:</p>

<p>Psychology</p>

<p>Minor:</p>

<p>Mathematics, Philosophy</p>

<p>GPA: 3.55/4.00</p>

<p>Unfortunately, I've battled depression throughout college so I've really squandered extracurricular opportunities/internships. </p>

<p>I have a very quirky personality with many idiosyncrasies. As such, many people tell me to take the intro to acting class my final semester to see if I can put my personality to good use.</p>

<p>I also found it difficult to network. Luckily, I’m related to a member of the U.S. house of Representatives, Jan Schakowsky, so I’m meeting with her the 28th to discuss my future. I’m kind of ambivalent about my role in the civil service. I’m not really passionate on contemporary political affairs, but I can make more of an effort to develop a more confident stance once I graduate (just do not have the time to really delve in the issues). What should I talk to her about? Even though I have a political appointment, I’m not sure if it really is my true calling.</p>

<p>I’m not sure if I even want to live in the Midewest, or the US for that matter. I get incredibly bored, and I have this sense of wanderlust that needs to be fulfilled. The thought of moving to California or to Japan has appealed to my taste. I’m not too sure though. I feel that I’m all over the place right now. Perhaps, I have been procrastinating my life, and seeing how I have a lot of times with now winter break commencing, this has finally dawned on me. </p>

<p>Any help would be much appreciated. Feel free to pm me or post here. Maybe I should continue my education? However, one needs to know what they wish to accomplish in terms of phd or masters degree program. I'm not truly passionate about any academic subject per se. I love learning, but I'm not wholly strong in any one particular subject. Therefore, I do not see me applying to grad school or Law school right away. I need to find my niche i guess. </p>

<p>maybe you should teach English abroad?</p>

<p>also, there are lots of civil service jobs that don’t involve politics. People on the Hill are well connected. They can be very valuable resources.</p>

<p>don’t go to grad school unless you are going there for a professional purpose.</p>
