Where should I go...?

I want to major in political science and eventually become a journalist (maybe double major in it). I would like to work on a TV station while in school and eventually go to law school (probably). I want my college to have a "work hard--play hard" mentality. I have a 3.9, 2200, so go ahead and mention any school. Even though schools like Harvard would be stretches, go ahead and mention them anyways.

Ursinus! (more internships per student with local radio and tv than just about anywhere!)

obviously Medill in Northwestern is has to be on the list.

I don't think Harvard has a journalism major. I could be wrong on this.

I'd think about Univ of Wisconsin-Madison or UCLA.

uc berkeley's Political Science dept is one of the best in the country, and their journalism program is up there, too. Columbia is definitely one of the best for journalism, so is Northwestern, and Emerson College in Boston has a great Broadcast Journalism program as well.

ubetteraccept_me, don't sell yourself short. Your SAT score is very high up there as well as your GPA. Now make sure to write good, unique essays and have other talents/activities to back up your score, because most colleges want well-rounded kids who stand out in one way or another. SO my point is, do well now and then apply to colleges you want to apply to, even if you feel its out of reach (of course make sure to have definite back-ups) because the selection process is not absolute: some people get in schools you wouldn't think are "good enough" while other people with high SATs and gpas dont get into schools you think they would.

sorry, i hope that helped.

Well some of the colleges I have in mind (no real basis, just some random research): Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, UPenn, Georgetown, Brown, Northwestern, UNC-Chapel Hill, WUStL, Vanderbilt, University of Miami, Syracuse, Georgia (my state school), Duke, Johns Hopkins, Yale, Princeton, American, GWU, Illinois-UC. I really have no idea; this is a huge list.

bayarea88--that helped alot, thanks.

anyone else...
