I just received the bulk of my college acceptances and I'm now trying to make a decision on which school I should attend next year. Syracuse, Cal Poly, and Northeastern were my top three choices (in order), but I managed to get rejected from all three of them. I've found that I'm now stuck in the third tier level of architecture schools: Roger Williams University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, The Catholic University of America, and University of Colorado at Boulder. Paying for college isn't much of a problem (although I did get a $6,500 annual scholarship to Wentworth and it would be nice to lighten the load on my parents), so I'm pretty much looking for the school with the strongest architecture program. I've found that obtaining information on these school's programs is rather difficult and any information at all would be appreciated. I?ve also thought of attending one of these schools for a year and then transferring to one of my top three choices (preferably Syracuse), so any advice on transferring would be helpful too.

That's a bummer Adam. Sorry to hear about the shut out. If you want to get to Syracuse, my suggestion would be Catholic University in Washington DC. It helps to be in a great city when you are studying architecture--and then there's the whole East Coast to East Coast thing. You should be able to get a decent job in Washington when you graduate.

definitely go to catholic. dc is a great city to live in (believe me...ive been there for 17 years) and there are plenty of arch. firms and places to do internships. lots of world renowed firms. you just need to be careful around the area by the school. the dc night scene is also very good (so i hear) and there is so much fun stuff to do around catholic. and the metro? yea i still get giddy every time i go on :D
