Where should I go?

gladly received acceptance letters from these following colleges :
1. University of Nebraska-Lincoln
2.Creighton University
3. Loyola University in Chicago
4. Depauw University
5. Saint Louis university
6. Saint Johns University
7. Rollins College in Florida
8. Pepperdine University

I kind of got down to Pepperdine and Rollins; but I am not sure where to go. I heard that Rollins has a crappy library and horrible dorms. I would have went straight to Pepperdine if they had a soccer team.

I heard pepperdine is great so if I were you, I would choose pepperdine.

I know! I was thinking about playing club soccer when if I went to pepperdine; since they don’t have a soccer team

The library at Rollins is underwhelming, and the dorms are crappy (one of the reasons I didn’t apply). There is a distinct social difference between these two schools, despite the fact that they share many aspects including a similar level of academics, and absolutley pristine campus location. Rollins is more of a southern party school, and the population is rather homogenous. A good deal of drug use dominates the social scene, as there really isn’t so much to do. Pepperdine is similar in that it is homogenous, but in general the campus atmosphere is more laid back from what I hear and that extends to the party scene. It can be found off campus, but on campus the religious atmosphere is more adhered to than at most schools. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that Rollins is the cheaper option (although not by much if scholarships aren’t involved).

It really depends on what you’re looking for in a school, city, and peer group, so I think we’ll be able to help you narrow it down more if you give us more specifics of what you’re looking for.

If you consider $50,000 tuition, then sure Rollins is the “cheaper option”…rightttt.

And there is a reason why Rollins is called “Florida’s Country Club.” It is beautiful so don’t hate on it. Anyone would be lucky to go there…

I don’t know what your decision is but I definitely would’ve gone with Pepperdine in this situation.

What about Nebraska? Certainly the big state school might offer a niche for everyone where smaller private schools can’t.

Though, in this situation, I’d go with Pepperdine.

I would chose Nebraska
