Where should I look?

I don't know where to apply to school. Here's my situation:
I graduated from high school in 2003
Had a 3.4 gpa
SAT's were 660 verbal, 660 math
Took 2 A.P. classes, and a bunch of honors classes
My first year of college was at School of Visual Arts, then transfered to
Massachusetts College of Art. I'm taking this coming year off.
My grades at SVA were descent, mostly A's and B's, but I believe I got one C
but only 4 classes out of the 10 were academic
My grades last year were awful. I mean really really bad. They were all
pass/fail, but I did not pass a bunch of them. Totally screwed up the
year.

Ok, so I decided recently that I want to apply to a liberal arts school. When first applying to colleges, I got into Clark and Wagner (though I have no interest in Wagner) and was rejected from Fordham Lincoln Center campus, as far as non-art schools go. I live in CT, and want go to a school in the northeast. It has to have some kind of art classes, though I'm not really sure thats what I want anymore. So, any suggestions of schools I should look at?
Does anyone know how badly my last years grades will affect me? Any input would be appreciated.

I'm not going to lie: the bad grades last year will definitely hurt. But, they won't totally knock you out of the running. I'd suggest you contact Clark and see if they could re-open your file as a starting point: some schools will keep accepted folks on file for a year or so which might make it easier. Some other suggestions for schools to check out: Goucher College outside of Baltimore, SUNY Purchase, Manhattanville in NY, McDaniel in MD, Ursinis in PA.

Thanks for the suggestions, I hadn't looked at those the first time around so I'll definitely check them out. I also forgot to mention that I'm planning on taking a couse or two at the state university here each semester this year, and hopefully doing really well so that I have something to show the schools that I'm not a complete loser. How much of a difference does this usually make considering its only a couple classes? (Once again assuming I get A's in the class).
