I am going to study abroad next summer and am debating where to go. I've narrowed my choices down to:

Mexico

Peru

France

Britain

Egypt.

I'm currently learning Spanish and French and am definitely going to study abroad for a second time in a spanish-speaking country for a semester in the future. So for the summer should I study abroad in a spanish-speaking country twice, or should I take the opportunity to study abroad in one of the others. If so, which one?

I think you should consider Switzerland if it’s a possibility (in the French-speaking part, of course.) I studied abroad there and I loved it; if you have questions about it, feel free to ask me. (:
Otherwise I’d choose France, but I might be biased because I speak French. Plus, since it’s so easy to learn a language while abroad, you could make great progress in two languages instead of one.

for maximum boasting rights, you should go to africa. north africa is slightly wussy though, even with current problems in egypt. have you considered dr congo?

I would go to France! British is to miserable and the weather over here is rubbish! To much fighting in other countries
And Peru might be good? Lol but I find France u’s a beautiful country!

Both Mexico and Peru are both beautiful countries, and great opportunities.
But I think that if you’re already taking and abroad course in Spanish, France is the best option. The more languages the better!
Actually, I am going study abroad in France next semester! ;)

You won’t improve your language skills very much in just a summer I’m afraid. Nor will you speak much if surrounded by other English speakers or if your starting level is too low to begin with. So if language is your goal, to assess the programs we need to know how long, what is your current level of French and Spanish and if you will actually get to speak these languages (as opposed to going round the country visiting tourist sites with other Americans).

If you are studying Spanish, I would recommend going to Spain. Then, you could visit France, Britain, and Egypt while you are there.
