University of Maryland

Could we assume that your son doesn’t want to go to UCONN, which is ranked about #27 for National Public Universities in the country? He would get an excellent education & save you some big bucks, therefore enabling you to spend more on him later, like for grad school, new car, an apartment, for example! Or tuition for his siblings!

Syracuse, BU, Northeastern, Pitt, Penn State, U Maryland, GW, Rutgers, Tulane

If you don’t want too rural DON’T go to Penn State and I’m a freshman and the lack of any near city aspect sucks

I would look into Indiana. Indiana has an excellent business school and the 3.3 should be enough to gain admittance with the high test scores. Seems to fit the OP’s other requirements as well. There is a good number of OOS students there as well.

Binghamton would be a good match!

That profile would probably fit Pitt pretty well, plus they seem to really like out-of-state students and look closely at curriculum rigor so that might help them overlook the GPA. It is urban, relatively large (although not enormous), and has the good school spirit and sports teams.
