Hello,
I’m applying to college this fall, and have been grateful enough to be published in a few literary journals. However, I don’t know where to put them. When looking it up I found that people generally put it in the extracurriculars (as there is an option for it), but it is not something I do weekly, since I just submit random pieces I occasionally write, so I don’t know what I would put for hours. It makes more sense to me to put it in honors, but I don’t know what to do. Where should I put it?
And also, if I should put it in extracurriculars, can I umbrella it as “publications on multiple websites” and list the websites in the context box instead of making them separate? Because I have a lot of activities I need to squeeze in, I need to find as much space as possible.
Also, to what extent should we use the additional info? I won’t be able to write in all of my extracurriculars in the 10 slots given (ones of which I find important, I just don’t do them every week not because of lack of commitment, but lack of opportunities to do so) so should I write them in additional info? Do colleges look at this section, and is it usually reserved for more pressing matters?
Thank you!
