Where to apply Chemistry

My parents want to apply to other schools besides California Public system, (Already applied to Cal, UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCLA, Cal Poly SLU) and don't know where else to apply. I am looking for a good chemistry program, but it would also be nice to go to a diverse school if I want to change (im not positive on chemistry major, but I do enjoy it).

I goto a small private school, so I did not have many AP options, but I took what I could. Unfortunately no AP Chem.

Right now Berkeley is my Top Pick, and I'm unsure where I would go for a backup. Berkeley is still my top pick (I have ELC, which makes my odds of getting in alot better), but it would be nice to have some better backup options. Any suggestions? Yes, I know it is just a little late.

My son majored in chemistry at Berkeley graduating in '99. He had a fantastic education with great profs, great undergraduate research opportunities and tremendous grad students from whom he learned the nuts and bolts of how to do independent research. He is back at Berkeley now as a post-doc.

Well ya, Berkeley is my top pic, but my parents want me to have some other backups. These schools should preferably be private, since my in state schools already suffice for chemistry backups, and do not want to pay out of state tuition on a public school.
