If you want to show a high level of interest because the school is your first choice, and you will not need to compare financial aid offers, then apply ED.
But remember that the higher admission rate for ED is harder to compare, because the applicant pools can differ considerably (e.g. the recruited athletes may be included in the ED pool, and the ED pool probably has higher SES applicants).
With $1M income I doubt the OP needs to compare offers, but stranger things have been said on CC.
@ucbalumnus None of these schools are ED. They are only REA/SCEA. Also @“Erin’s Dad” yeah I don’t really care about the financial offer. I feel fortunate enough to not have to worry about picking a school due to financial circumstances.
Well, you do not have to apply SCEA or REA to any of them. Whether you want to do so can depend on the rest of your list, and whether it contains other schools that you could apply EA to but would not if you apply SCEA or REA somewhere.
I don’t think applying SCEA/REA has much of an effect on admissions. That said, for students whose application is in good shape in time, and who have a clear preference, it makes for a very relaxed senior year if they are accepted SCEA.
I would apply early to Princeton or Harvard. Your stats seem like you might have a difficult shot at Stanford
