Hey, I'm trying to figure out where to apply, but I really have no idea what my chances of getting in anywhere are. Here are my stats:

Other stuff: Second semester of Junior year I flipped and totalled my car. My mom also left our home to be in India with my grandfather, who was very ill. Because of both these things, my focus on school wasn't as sharp as it should have been (I had an 87 average with 4 B's). This dropped my GPA and class rank, but after first semester of this year they both should be slightly improved. I'm also taking SAT II's for Chemistry and Math Level II(I hadn't finished enough math the first time I took it), and my scores on both of these exams should be fairly decent. I may also take the new SAT one more time in November to try and break a 700 on writing, and I have an 800 on Critical Reading from the old SAT which I'm not using because it adds another test date for only 10 pts.

Basically, I just want to know if I should even bother applying out of state. Do you guys think that I have any chance at all at a top 20 college? Thanks.
