Where to appy and what are my chances as a soph? I got to get out of my school!

Hey everyone, first time poster, long long time reader.
So here is my situation...
I go to Chico state and I just hate it. It is not the school for me. It was my last pick, but I didn’t get into the arch program at Oregon or Hawaii. So I just picked there because I didn’t know what to major in anymore and it was just a cheap, safe pick. I thought I would just go there and get my GE done for little money, without having to go to a Jr.C, and transfer if I really didn’t like it. Which I don’t.

Ok so I didn’t have good grades in high school, hence Chico.
HS GPA: 2.9 (from the #1 district in the state, at the best HS in the district)
SAT:
CR - 550
Math - 580
W - 470

College GPA
(Keep in mind that this is only one semester)
3.1 - 15 units + 1 unit of bowling :)

Next semester I am taking 17 units and they are
PRINCIPLES OF MICRO ANALYSIS - 103
FINITE MATH - 107
ARCHAEOLOGY & THE BIBLE - 222
POLOTICS OF 3rd WORLD NATIONS - 102
HUMAN SEXUALITY - 265
Plus two, one unit sport classes

I also plan on taking two classes this summer at my local CC just to kinda get some stuff out of the way

this would all bring me up to 39 credits total!

So this is my problem. Mediocre grade, second year transfer, and I don’t know where

These are my ideas so far

1) University of Oregon
(This time I would go even if it wasn’t for arch, but you never know maybe I could transfer into that major later on)
Also, if you send in your app and you have 26+ credits they don’t even look at you HS work, only college

2) UC Davis
This may be a looooonng shot, but do take second year transfers. But they really take priority of CC students

SO THIS IS WHAT I NEED HELP WITH
- could I get in??
-where else to look??
-what school don’t look at HS work??
-what school are really transfer friendly
-what schools take second year transfers

I don’t know my major yet, maybe buss? I’d pick anything to be honest if it helped me get in :/

o ya, and if I have to, I could spend another year at Chico. I wouldn’t want to, but I would much rather do that then go back home to a CC.

bump
any help would be much appreciated!

You need to think about the long term. While you may not want to go to a CC, it’s probably your best shot to bite the bullet so you can graduate from a good college. If you can do well for a year at a CC, you may get into Davis or another mid tier UC. Why would they take a 3.1 from Chico?

Who knows, Oregon may take you, but it’s not as good as a mid level UC.
