Where to buy and sell second hand textbooks?

Just wondering where do you guys usually buy or sell your used textbooks? Is there a place especially for students at UCLA for this purpose? Thanks!

Bruinwalk is a good place

Oh, I thought it was only useful for finding professors. Now I see, thanks a lot!

I had no idea you could sell and buy books on bruinwalk. I could have saved so much money. For instance, I ordered my “The Essential Cosmic Perspective” book off amazon for $67 AND I have to wait til next week to receive it, while I could’ve bought one for $30 and got it tomorrow. ■■■, but thank goodness for CC. I now know LOL

I’ve saved close to $150 on just two books from bruinwalk. It’s the first place I go to get a book.

hei, i was looking for a place to sell and buy textbook as well.

like others have pointed out bruinwalk is one, and the other one i found is [Pasarii BETA (Classified Posting)](http://www.pasarii.com).

hope this helps.

Other places you can sell and buy are half.com and amazon marketplace. I’ve since graduated and I’ve been listing my textbooks there. I’m an idiot since I bought way too many books new, luckily I’ve been able to recover half of my investment for most of the books.

Thanks guys! Now I know a lot more places when I need to deal with text books. Would it be nice if CC could open a thread just for the sake of students here to sell and buy their textbooks? I’ve seen this done in other University forums and was pretty successful.

Why don’t you just use Electronics, Cars, Fashion, Collectibles & More | eBay. Its pretty simple and they only charge a reasonable premium. Plus, you can always exaggerate and say its brand new when it isn’t to get a better price if it actually looks like its brand new.
