Where To ED, Columbia or Brown

Hey, I have a dilemma. I have a 33 Act, 3.6 unweighted but close to a 4.0 weighted. My school is too small to have a class rank. I have taken 11 APs. Captain of my schools sailing and squash teams, president and founder of my schools debate team, investment club, local FBLA chapter, and Young Libertarians club. In charge of fundraising for my schools robotics team and local Free the Children chapter. I have played competitive classical piano for 4 years and have played for a total of about 10. I am also half hispanic and was given a national hispanic scholar award. I really like Columbia and Brown for very different reasons. I really like the core and New York but I also enjoyed Providence's more relaxed atmosphere and Browns quirky nature. The buried question here is where should I apply ED? I like Columbia a little bit more but my school has a terrible record with people applying there and I'm not sure whether I have a realistic shot. So any information about both schools and my chances of ED admission would be invaluable.
Thank You!

Bummmmmp anyone want to help me out please?

Easy, apply where your heart is, looks like Columbia. Both schools are very difficult to get into even ED. Have some good EA options lined up also.

Yeah but I guess my question is whether or not I am competitive at Columbia?

Yes you are definitely competitive. I think you are in because of URM status. I would bet on it. Maybe you should consider both regular decision, I think you will still get in.

From what you are describing you are a fairly good candidate for both schools. Unless you have decided that you are head over heals much more in love with one of the schools, you should not be applying ED. (since it is one school and binding) At least at Brown, it really is not going to substantially improve your odds on getting accepted. Also, you will not be able to compare financial aide packages if that is a concern. I would rather see you go visit both schools again, either before the ED deadlines, and then maybe you will have a clearer choice or after you have applied RD (or apply RD if you visit and it is still a coin toss) Then you will be better off in feeling good about your decision, or the schools will make it for you if you get in to only one of them.
