Ok, I’ve looked at the websites for all the UC’s I’m applying to, and I couldn’t find a single page which lists all of the impacted majors. I know engineering is impacted, but I want to see what other majors are as well (for example I heard that economics is impacted at UCB). Can someone show me a link or something? Thank you very much

Only majors in the College of Engineering are impacted at Berkeley. Chemical engineering is not impacted, because it's in the College of Chemistry.

Econ, psychology, computer science, etc are not impacted for freshman applicants. They are impacted in that you'll have competition when you try to declare the major as a Junior. Hence, every major (except those in the College of Engineering) at Berkeley will have the same level of difficulty in terms of freshman admissions.

Thanks TheRighteous, does anyone know about other UC's as well like UCSD and UCLA?

TheRighteous is wrong about computer science for freshman at UCB. It is probably one of the most competitive majors for freshman to get in.

xcyber347, computer science is in L&S.

When you apply to L&S, everyone is considered undeclared until Junior year when everyone actually starts declaring majors. Same thing with business intended applicants. They get in as L&S freshman and they apply later on.

Your intended major does NOT matter unless you are applying to the CoE.

I thought you were talking about the computer science in CoE which freshman can apply to. Many people will apply to it even if it's heavily impacted because they do not want to risk not being able to get into the computer science major after they get into UCB.

"Hence, every major (except those in the College of Engineering) at Berkeley will have the same level of difficulty in terms of freshman admissions."

That's what I explicitly stated.
