Hi guys! I got accepted to Temple last week, through email. I was admitted to the honors program, and I was wondering: how do you know if you received a scholarship? Can you find out online, through the portal, or do you get a package in the mail with further details?
you will get a letter of acceptance via snail mail and will find out then. are you a us citizen. if so, there is a pdf file on temple’s admission website that spells out the scholarships for combined gpa/standardized test scores, assuming you submitted standardized tests. there are different scholarship rules for international students. and Congrats!
Awesome, thanks Waiting for the letter feels so long, haha. Yeah, I’ve seen the PDF file for scholarship info; I’m in state for temple. and thank you!!
Ctl987 - are only citizens eligible or also permanent residents?
Not sure. I know of one international student who got sizable scholarship. I think full tuition
If you got into Honors, you are definitely getting some merit aid. Check your TUPortal page and see if it has your Financial Award letter. You will get this letter in the mail with the rest of your acceptance package, but they post them first on your TUPortal. Congratulations! My D was also accepted to Honors in the Tyler School of Art. She got a Dean’s Scholarship.
ssa6675. i am not sure how international scholarships work. i saw one page where it sounded like it was case by case but perhaps that was an older page that did not update its info when the automatic scholarships came into place, and by that i mean, maybe the international students also get the same scholarships as everyone else so long as they have the gpa and test scores, i am not sure how Temple handles permanent residents either. id contact the admissions office and ask them. and if you get an answer, could you post in on here so future applicants can see the answer too. thanks
