<p>I registered for classes and it says that registration is not complete until you activate your UBIT account. I got my UBIT name but it says that you need the last 6 digits of your student id to input the password. How am i supposed to activate it if i wont get an id until orientation?</p>
<p>You have to wait until orientation. I’m not too sure about this but I think they do this to prevent anyone who is not you from using your account. They may also want you to meet your advisor before registering for classes.</p>

<p>You should have received a letter from UB Dir of Admissions after you paid your enrollment deposit - it has the steps to submit your orientation data form that you had to do before they scheduled your orientation session. Anyway, this letter also has a bold black box that tells you your UBIT name, email address, and 10-digit password made up of your month and day of birth plus a 6 digit number they assigned you.
