Where to Fly in

I recently heard that Toledo is actually closer to AA than Detroit, but it is a very small airport. I think I'm going to come out to visit AA sometime in January, so I was wondering where it was best to fly in? (from La Guardia, JFK, or Newark). Also, what are the best hotels to stay in? Thanks.

Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is 31 miles from campus, Toledo Airport is 43 miles. I'm not even sure you could get much in terms of commercial flights into Toledo. DTW is the way to go.

Here is a link for list of hotels:

DTW is a hub for Northwest Airlines with many flights per day in/out of the airports you mentioned.

The distance may be longer for Detroit but I wasn't sure if there was a more direct route (more highway travel) from Toledo or anything. However, it seems you guys think Detroit is the way to go, which is what we were thinking anyway before someone mentioned Toledo, so I guess Detroit would be our best bet.

Thanks.

Ann Arbor is right down I-94 from DTW

Hi,

We just visited in mid-September and flew from LGA to DTW. It was very simple, about a 30-40 minute car ride from DTW to the campus.
