Where to get AP and SAT test prep books for cheap!!!

Hey guys many of us have been there, where to buy AP, SAT, and SAT Subject test prep books for cheap.

Instead of buying them New at the local bookstore for like $30~40, try buying them used!!! Unless of course you really want to have the spanking new latest edition, but in my experience unless there's been like a huge change in the test format the books' contents don't really change. Only the covers are changed.

Here are some great places online to buy used test prep books:

-Amazon (tons of used books available)
-Ebay (good condition and cheap. You might be able to find good bulk deals if you’re lucky)
-Barnesandnobles (a lot of books online give the “used” option for cheaper prices)
-Borders (a lot of books online give the “used” option for cheaper prices)

I swear, you will be able to buy older editions for less than half the price if you’re lucky!!! And they’ll be in “like new” conditions too, so you don’t have to worry about if the used books are crappy, wrinkled, ripped, or written in. These sites actually give you small descriptions of the books that are for sale, so no worries.

As of now, I can only think of 2 downside to doing this. 1st you will need a credit card to pay, hopefully your parents will help you with this. 2nd, the shipping may take from 2~10 days. So you will have to wait to get your books.

try looking up sites for used books. Make sure you use trustable, legal sites!!!

if there's other places you've used, gone to for cheap books, please share!!!!!!!!!! Also share which brands you personally found helpful.

For me, I like Barron's because of the "harder than reality" test questions. I've had friends who like Princeton because of their format, and I think Cliffs AP are ok books too. No opinions on the other brands though, I've never used them so I can't say.

Oh yea, don’t forget to try asking around at school!!! Especially try asking the seniors, or past graduates. I’m sure they’ll have tons of old AP and SAT books laying around that they’ll be glad to get rid of.

:D just a few ways to save money so you can actually pay the $86 to take the dang test… test companies are total monopolies…jus saying

Hmm, I’m pretty sure that books don’t lay around. Did you mean that seniors lay around? That would be a lot more sense ;).

lol… wowww sorry, i meant to say “their books are just lying around”

well, yea… if your seriously gonna get used books though GO SEARCH AROUND!!! or go on ebay… some of my younger friends have been saying they found some books for really cheap on ebay, though its rare :D

I buy my AP, SAT, and ACT prep books on Amazon for as low as $0.01 each.

Yo, I heard there’s this thing called a library. Check it out sometime (pun intentional).
