Where to go for BME?

Right now I have to decide between three colleges, but I'm having a really tough time deciding where to go. I'm interested in biomedical engineering but IDK which one of the following is the best for me in the long run:

SUNY Stony Brook
Boston University
NYU CAS / NYU-Poly

Although BU is really where I want to go most, I'm not sure if I can justify nearly $80,000 in loans over four years of undergraduate study. Is it better to go to a state university at a fraction of the cost, especially if there's a good chance I plan on going to a graduate school? Of the three, NYU probably has the most prestige to the name (in a very broad way), but does that make it worth the money (it will cost even more than BU).

I've juggled between the three (NYU is probably at the bottom of my list) but am still torn. Does anyone have some advice on what I should do? Does state school win over private in this situation when I am strongly considering pursuing a masters or even a ph. d?

If I am wrong someone will correct me hopefully. But if you plan on getting masters or ph.d it wouldn’t be worth it to spend a bunch of money for undergraduate at a “prestigious” school. If the costs for the schools are significantly different I would choose the lower.
What I would personally do in your situation is (if SUNY Stony Brook is your top choice) attend SUNY SB then get into a good grad school from there.
My mom knows a guy who got his bachelors at UCO (Univ. of Central Oklahoma…regional school in Oklahoma) and went to grad school at Purdue. Significant difference between the two.
I’ve thrown in my two cents, but do what YOU want to do.

Yeah…I’d go to BU for grad, if you really really love the place. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the debt for undergrad. -_- That’s ridiculous. lol

NYU I’m sure is a lot, so I think I would go with SBU for undergrad, do well, and then go to a good grad school
