Where to go from here . . . ?

Hi my name's Scarlett, and I'm in desperate need of some advice.
I graduated HS in '08 and was absolutely clueless as what i wanted to do with my life. As a result, I ended up at a community college (yr later) and never really made any concrete decisions regarding a career path. I am currently still taking classes at a local community college but would like to go ahead and transfer to a university. Problem is, I don't have my associates degree. Work, financial problems, and other miscellaneous factors contributed to this long tedious process of obtaining that degree. I would like to transfer to a university for fall semester but I'm afraid my discrepant past will make it nearly impossible to get into a good school. I've started doing volunteer work so it'll look good on a college app but not sure what else to do to increase my chances. I hope an open college isn't my only option.
thanks for reading

How many credits do you have? What is your GPA for the community college credits you have? Are you taking a full load this semester? Those seem to be the most relevant factors in transferring. I wouldn’t worry about the volunteer work. It is pretty much all about your classroom work at this point.

i have 28 credits and my GPA is 3.4 & im only taking 3 classes this semester.

You don’t always need your AA to transfer. Have you talked to an advisor at your CC to find out where you might be able to transfer with your situation?

No i havent talked to an advisor yet, guess i’ll have better results than w/ this website.
thanks
