I have been accepted to tOSU, and am currently waiting on SUNY Binghamton, and PSU…

I intend to major in business management, and all these schools have respectable business schools. As i am from NY, binghamton would be the cheapest… Is there anything that makes a school like OSU and PSU better to go to?? Also if so, which is better/more respectable for business, comments would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on money and where your favorite school is, out of state will be about another $40,000 over four years so if you can afford it go for it.

Honestly, for me it kind of depends on scholarships and money.
I’m from NY as well. I’m deciding between OSU and SUNY Geneseo. Right now I’m actually leaning towards Geneseo…so much money saved!
NY has such cheap in state tuition, I think we would be dumb not to choose it honestly (excluding ivies, of course).
If an OOS school doesn’t meet full or near full need it’s not worth it I guess.
Haha sorry I’m just telling you what I’m telling myself! :p

if money is an issue, keep grad school in mind-an advanced degree is part of the total cost- don’t just think of undergrad- it matters more where your master’s is from. suny geneseo has an outstanding reputation and you’ll be a bigger fish as they say.

What kind of business (accounting, finance, logistics, marketing?) were you thinking of and where in the country would you want to work after graduation?

@Thanol: I am not exactly sure but possibly some sort of supply chain management or hospitality management…, and i would love to work in new york but would be content with…pittsburgh, Chicago, or anywhere i could find a job…

If you want to do SCM, you should choose OSU (logistics or operations) or PSU. I’m not familiar with SUNY Binghamton’s SCM program. I’m a logistics major at OSU, and it’s definitely one of the stronger programs here. There aren’t too many SCM related jobs in NYC, but I know of a few companies out there that recruit at OSU for logistics and operations.
