Where to go on campus...

I need a place to kill several hours a day in between classes(a 2 hour block and an hour). Since I do not live close, it makes no sense to leave, the commute there and back already sucks.

Anywhere with WiFi and, if needed, a place to study or hang out. Yeah, pretty lame, I know, but this is my first semester here at Cal so...yeah, I know no one.

Thanks.

that coffee shop on the corner of telegraph and college is pretty awsome, I bet airbears works there

Try Strada Cafe at Bancroft and College (near Kroeber Hall). During your two-hour blocks you could even (window) shop along College… pretty neat places there.

cafe milano (also on bancroft)

woops…yeah, I meant bancroft and college

If you have classes on the northside, there’s a cafe in Sutardja Dai hall. It’s a brand new buildling and has Peet’s Coffee and wifi.

I prefer Free Speech cafe.
It’s got good WiFi, library is close, and commies come proselytizing every few days.

On Tuesdays, hunt for the cupcake truck :D

Those cupcakes cost hella money!

I often find myself in the VLSB computer lab during one hour breaks.

Uhm, how about the library? Doe is awesome!

Alright fine, if those cupcakes cost too much, hop on the F bus to Bay Street, and go to Teacake bake shop. They give you a free cupcake for an A paper/midterm/final on Wednesdays ;D.
