<p>I am planning on entering SBCC from my local CC next semester. I'm not going to know anyone, and I have heard I should live in Isla Vista in order to meet people. I am worried about that because I would have to bus to class everyday if I did. I am just wondering if I should look for apartments near SBCC or in Isla Vista.</p>
<p>I’m planning to transfer from my cc next semester so I am in the same exact position as you! I’m leaning more towards living in IV (but further away from DP though) mainly because it’s closer to ucsb and most sbcc students (and ucsb) and I honestly wouldn’t mind taking a 15-20min bus. I’m in the same boat as you since I don’t know anyone when I transfer next semester. But I don’t think you would get quite the same experience living in downtown sb. My only worry is of IV since I’m not too into the whole party scene but still would like a social life and kinda worried I won’t make too many friends because of that.</p>
