<p>This summer I will be a rising soph and I wish to look for some summer internships.</p>
<p>My university's career dev does not have any listings fit for me atm. </p>
<p>What I am looking for:
Advertising, Marketing, PR, Mass communications, media, broadcast journalism?</p>
<p>Where else would I look to find internships, preferably near my location (west coast), for these types? </p>
<p>I've also googled it but some websites look REALLY sketch and too commercial, as in they are scams, but i cant be 100% sure</p>
<p>Hey I’m going to be a junior next year studying the same stuff you are. What I suggest you do is research firms that you are interested in, go on their website and see if they offer internships. In my experience, I feel like non-profits are the most welcoming for people new to internships, so keep an eye out for those. Also if your school has a communications club or a PR club, check their website or anything else like Facebook. My first internship was a non-profit and I found it through a posting on my school’s PR club page.</p>
