Where to look

I'm a junior with an SAT score of 2130 (780 math, 630 reading, 720 writing) and an unweighted gpa of 3.97, weighted 5.75. I'm in national honors society and take part in community service, sports, and extracurricular activites.

I think I'm going to major in biomedical engineering. What schools should i be looking at to apply to? And what are the top biomedical engineering schools in the country?

Any financial needs or wants? If you could get your reading score to match your math score you’d have quite the application stat-wise.

Case Western is quite well known for Biomedical engineering and would fit your stats.

Not sure what part of the country you are interested in, but you sound like my DS (except his ACT is a little lower than your SAT). Here are some to check out:

Johns Hopkins
Lehigh
RPI
University of Maryland and Penn State University (if you are interested in larger and a little less expensive than private)
Carnegie Mellon

Others that have been suggested to us that we haven’t looked into (for various reasons):

Duke
Northwestern
Cornell
MIT

I’m sure someone else will tell you about the west coast schools and others that are as selective as MIT (those just are not on our radar).
