Where to mail transcripts

Hello friends!!!!

Where should college hopefuls mail transcripts? To the office of the registrar of each college? To the main address?

Thanks :)

Don’t send it to the registrar, they deal with students who are currently attending the college.

Application materials are sent to the Admissions office, go to the Admissions page of any college website and it will give you the correct mailing address.

Aren’t transcripts supposed to be sent directly from the relevant school, not by the “college hopeful” himself or herself, so there’s no issue of tampering?

^As long as a transcript is sealed and stamped over the seal it is official, whether sent by the school or the applicant.

MommaJ brings up a good point, bzong. Sending transcripts is not normally handled by the student.

I can’t speak for other HSs, but at ours, we order them, pick them up and mail them ourselves. Maybe that’s just our financially strapped school district, but that’s how it works.

More and more these days, transcripts are sent electronically rather than hard copy.
