Where to make cheap copies/printing?

One of my classes didn't do a course reader this semester but posted lots of material online instead. It works better for me to study from a printed copy rather than an e-document or e-book. Already used up most of my free copies through the OCF. Any suggestions on good places to print or copy documents at a reasonable cost? My inkjet printer devours ink cartridges. ;-(

I wonder the same too :(… I usually go to the dorm academic center for 5 cents per b/w copy.

lol…i just print stuff out at work when no one else is there.

im a thief!!!

Find some buddies in Haas? hahaha

What is OCF OP?

or an engineer friend

Hi Calicious, Wow, 5-cents sounds pretty good. Where is the dorm academic center located?

Calicious, “OCF” stands for the UCB Open Computing Facility. Search for it on [University of California, Berkeley](http://www.berkeley.edu). Once a student acct is approved, you can print up to 250 black and white pages for free.

It’s located in any of the units (just look for some stairs that lead you downward from the courtyard area). You basically put money in your Cal1Card debit account and use your CalNet id to log in. Each b/w copy is 5 cents and I think 8-9 cents if you use front/back. Color is 50 cents.

It’s opened from 3PM - midnight every day except Saturday I believe.

And ye, I requested an account… I hope they approve it soon. So where is this, location wise on campus?

Hey Calicious,

[Open Computing Facility: About Our Organization](About us – Open Computing Facility)
The OCF is located at 400 Eshleman Hall (the ASUC bldg) on Bancroft. It’s on the ground floor. The bldg faces Bancroft on one side and the Chavez Ctr on the other side. It’s between Zellerbach Hall and the Cal Student Store. It’s the tall bldg that says “Daily Cal” in the upstairs windows.

See the website listed above for hours, etc. My OCF acct was approved w/in a few days of applying. Staff are volunteer students so turnaround probably depends on school workload and availability.

Thanks for the info about printing at the Units!

Ah I see! Thought it was somewhere in the center of campus XD! I need to check up with my account status since it hasn’t changed since Wednesday -_-!!!

It took more than a week for my OCF account to get approved.

Alright that sounds a bit better now. Was worried they forgot about my request!
