Where to park

If I drive up to Berkeley, where am I supposed to park?

1) Bad idea to bring your car.
2) There are parking lots around but they'll be full and cost like $20/day.
3) The campus map shows some places to park.
4) Use public transportation if possible.

on move in day, where should we park???
i'm in bowles, is there gonna be a place to stick our car while we move my crap into the room?

Where should Clark Kerr people park? If everyone moves in on the same day there probably won't be much space left at the curb.

What About Parking?
Fall Semester Move-in: Shortly before move-in day a postcard will be mailed to you that you may use as a one-day parking pass valid for the day you are assigned to move in (either Saturday August 19 for those assigned to Units 1, 2 or 3 triples or Sunday August 20 for all other assignments). More information will be on the Move-in Day site posted in mid-July.

A note about parking: we regret that parking near the residence halls is likely to be extremely difficult, particularly in the vicinity of Units 1 and 2. Please anticipate delays. If you can plan to arrive in the afternoon on your move-in day, you might have an easier time finding nearby parking.

Oh yeah, take those warnings seriously. Parking on move-in day is ridiculously difficult. Even with passes, the entire block around any given dorm will be completely stuffed, so it won't matter. I'd take their advice and arrive a little later. Most people will be moving in from 8-12 probably.
