where to research? n how!!!

<p>hello people</p>

<p>i need to know about research projects. . i live in pakistan,,, here there is no such trend of doing research or so at my level, as i was analysing the stats of admitted students in reputed uni,,eg MIT (whose decisions came yester) research was playing a very imp part.</p>

<p>i was thinking if someone can give me examples of areas in which research can be done by a highschool student, and how,.. i mean how do i carry out .......:-( </p>

<p>ill be applying to uni this year (for the class of 2011), so i thk i still
,hve summer vacations to do some kind of research.plz some one help me out and hurry</p>

<p>Same question here. I have been trying to find a research job in biology or neuroscience for a long time now, but all my efforts are futile.</p>

<p>sydney_bristow87--- thts wat i am asking;; i mean u must hve heard of student doing research on particular topic,, eg pollution.... etc thts the only topic rit now i can thk ..</p>

i mean that most of them had done researchs..during their highschool period..</p>

<p>Well, there's kinda different levels of research, I mean, you've got the kids who win like the Siemens and Intel stuff, who work in a lab and are on their way to finding a cure for cancer, or you've got your every day research where you go on google and look up stuff for a paper for a class, or if it's a term paper maybe you interview some people who know about the topic, look through databases and journals and such? I really am kinda confused as to what you are talking about.</p>

<p>wel let me giv an example,, i saw a student who researched on pollution and the other guy whose research was math investigation in which he made a code thru whh the computer was able to mathematically identify the face....
i dont know wat he researched on pollution,. both of them got acceptd in mit.</p>

<p>now once i did experiments to find out the bst way to fry crispy french fries. i used diff potato sizes, fried them at diff. temp. etc etc etc,
althgh a funny example but will this come in the research catagory.</p>
