I know it’s late, but I’m sending a letter to demonstrate that Yale is still my #1 choice and updating the university on things I have done this past semester. Should I send it to my local admissions representative (and how do I find this person’s name if so? My guidance counselor does not know), or to the admissions office? And do I email it, fax it or mail it?
I am not so sure that this will help at this point. Have you done something extra ordinary this past semester or just continued to do the great things that you must have already listed on your application? As many of us have said, even if you won some big name national recognition in something or another, changes that anything you send in at this point making a difference is slim.
Good luck on getting accepted. I know there are nearly 30,000 of you all waiting with bated breath.
Honestly, I would encourage you to send one. (Hey, it can’t hurt!) I doubt committees have started (or that they’ve reviewed very many apps), so you might still have some influence. You can either email it to your admissions officer or mail or fax it to the admissions office (addresses/email addresses at http://admissions.yale.edu/contact-us )
