Where to send letter to after deferral?

Hi, I wrote a letter and I was wondering if I should just send it to the admissions office or if I should send it to a regional admission officer, and if so where I can find the contact info for my officer.

Also, how long max do you think a letter should be and would it be overkill to write things that I hope to participate in at columbia (ie classes, organizations, etc)? Should I just limit the letter to honors/activities that have changed and try to keep it short-ish since I already had the "why columbia" essay?

Oh - also, email or letter?

letter is better

Okay and to a regional admissions officer or the actual admission office??

i would probably send it to the regional officer.

email is better, it gets there faster, gets added to your file faster. it isn’t a question of professionalism but of ease.

email with file attachment preferred.

regional admissions officer = actual admissions officer.

for ease of it getting into your system on time, i’d send it to your regional officer with columbia’s main contact email carbon copied. the officer will know that you sent it to them and have a memory of you, and the main contact email will assure that you get promptly added to the file.

Thank you SO much. That was exactly what I needed. Sending off my letter this week.
