I'm a freshman and a California state college. I am planning on majoring in Accounting but I am still only doing my GE and pre-business classes. I'm taking an introductory accounting class right now. I thought trying to find an internship over the summer would be a really good idea and help me when I graduate.
The problem is, I have absolutely no idea where to start. I don't know who or where to call. I don't have a resume. I have a job, but I'm not sure how to make a resume. I got a horrible GPA last semester. Obvioulsy I would prefer a paid interniship over unpaid, but is that even a reality for me? So finding out who I should start calling and when would be the biggest tip for me. I'm from the San Francisco area so any direct places to start calling would be cool. Basically any and all help would be so great!

Go to your college’s career center. They will help you through writing a resume, which is essential. A lot of employers will also list openings/opportunities through the school, so they are the place to begin.
