Where to take an online Linear Algebra class?

I’d like to take an online class in linear algebra, preferably at a place that offers a transcript/grade – I don’t need it for credit at my HS, I’d just like to be able to show a college, so I could potentially place into a higher-level class. For this reason, I’d use something like OpenCourseware as a fallback.

I looked at Stanford’s OHSx, but I’ve missed the application deadline, and I can’t figure out how to apply to the University Level Mathematics Program, which seems to offer the class.

Right now I’m looking at Johns Hopkins’ CTYOnline. Is this a good choice? Are there better options?

Maybe look for online community college programs for engineering transfer students? As maybe they would likely have linear algebra online.

I know this thread is old, but… If you’re still in high school, I’d be a little wary about taking linear algebra online. I took linear algebra face-to-face using one of the “mainstream” textbooks out there today and it was one of the biggest shocks I’ve ever had in a math class. I’ve taken lots of math too. I was top of every single one of my math classes. I’d say the shock came from the logic required to function in that class. It wasn’t the systems of equations and matrices that got me. It was all of the proofs. Coming out of the class, all of the proofs actually are quite obvious at this point. But if you’re working through it all first-time, those proofs are going to REALLY take a bite out of you. They require some creative thinking. Thinking you’ve never done before.

Linear Algebra is a junior level college class with Calculus Integration as prerequisite. Any class that does not require this prerequisite will not offer in-depth Linear Algebra course.
