I’m struggling right now. Could use some help and/or advice. I have 3 universities lined up and can’t decide on which one I should attend. I’m an accounting major. On one hand I have a good business school that is also local (Less money, can live at home). This school is San Diego State University. The other school is also a good business school, but this one is very good at getting students a job after graduating. This school is CSU Fullerton. Now my last option is not as good as these. The school is The University of Alaska, Fairbanks. It’s a geophysics school for the most part but it does have an accounting program and it is accredited in accounting. Problem is, I really want to go to Alaska, but I also want to return here to California to live after I’m done. So my problem is that I’m afraid I will have a hard time finding a job here when I come back because firms will prefer students from local universities. I’ve lived here my whole life and don’t want to stay, I want Alaska but it probably isn’t the best choice career wise. I also plan on getting my CPA. What do I do? Should I stay local and go to SDSU or Fullerton. Or just take the chance and go to Fairbanks. I don’t want a commuter school and I’m not a party guy so Fullerton and SDSU are not appealing to me. But they are the best for my career.
