ldddl27: I am SO happy for you and your daughter that it all worked out I am just curious as to whether she is going to row at BC even though they don’t have a LW team? Will she just join the open weight team? I imagine she will be incorporated into the team as the coach gave her application his/her support. I was just wondering - and am thrilled she is excited for what will surely be a great experience!!

Hi Mayhew–Yes, she was invited to row for openweight. Even though her erg score is not as competetive being a LW rower, their coach clearly stated that erg scores are not everything and based on her success on her team and other factors (reputation and success of her HS team)…she will row for them. What a long road it has been though.

MIT, Harvey Mudd (CMS), UCSD, Vassar, Carleton, etc. for tennis. In the end, he decided to use his Blue Chip brain to go to Berkeley (his first choice). He will be playing club tennis instead.

I was recruited at Carleton, Amherst, Vassar, and Hamilton; however, as D3 schools, coaches do not have as much pull with admissions for RD applicants (which was a financial requirement for our family). However, it all worked out and since I got in RD, I will be playing soccer for Carleton in the fall! :)

Recruited to Yale and Penn for T&F… Worked out that Yale was the place for me :)
