Where will I get in?

What are my chances? Where will I get into? Can I get into top-notch schools because I feel like I have much to offer than my gpa shows.

I was just wondering what are my chances at the top schools: Duke,Cornell,JHU....
I know I've done very poorly in school so far...and I probably won't get into Iv leagues due to my poor freshman/soph. year..but I just want to see some feedback.

Extra C's: I am involved in many clubs in my school such as FBLA & Key Club and I actively volunteer in the community( fire department.)

Practice Sat Score: 2080(I hopefully will get around a 2200 on the real test)

9th grade:
Guitar A
English B
Geometry B
Spanish A
US history H B
Health/Phys- A
Earth Space Sci G/T A

10th grade:
Weights-A
Alg 2-A
Bio H-B
Government H-B
English 10 H-A
Spanish 3 H-B
Foundations of Technology-A

11th grade: I'm kind of uncomfortable with my current junior schedule but I think it's too late to switch..I should have put myself into Precalculus GT and Chemistry GT but my teachers wouldn't let anybody do that without a waver, which I should have done. Will it affect my chances?
Independent Research G/T
Sports for Life
Spanish 4 Honors
English 11 AP
World History AP
Math Analysis
Chemistry

Senior(next year):
Wil probably be taking: Calculus AB AP, Biology AP, maybe Comp. Govt., Physics, Intern/Mentor G/T.

I currently have a 3.57 gpa, but my school is incredibly competetive. I know multiple people getting 4.0 gpa, All Ap classes and such, so my class rank may not be top 5 or 10%. If you want to know, my school is Marriotts Ridge High School(MD).

It’s hard to tell when you’re so young! Try and get all A’s in your classes this year though. Colleges love to see improvement as your course load gets harder. Do well on your SAT’s, and volunteer as much as possible!

I will admit I am not familiar with your high school, but…

With that GPA if your class rank is not in the top 10 percent it is extremely unlikely. You have many Bs (some of which are not in honors classes), so that is not great for top schools. I can’t speak to scores and ECs since your stats are based on practice tests and your EC description was vague. That being said you seem like a good candidate in general (just maybe not for ivies), good luck!

Thanks. And I believe my high school is in the top 100 or something, in the nation.
