They are seniors on the show this year so i assume college will be a part of it all. Marissa's mom even mentioned admissions in tonight's episode. SOOO.. any theories???

The OC is one of the most horrible most superficial shows I have ever seen.

Law and Order. That's a good show.

obviously USC. jk?

Haven't those OC kids been in senior year for the past 2 years? It seems that way at least, they all look around 25. If a college knew even half the stuff those kids did (e.g. drug arrests, shootings, stealing, etc) they'd never be admitted. I have no idea why I'm still talking about the OC kids' college future. It is a superficial show, albeit an entertaining one. But Law and Order is a better quality show (SVU, not CI).

USC..That would make sense, though i think Ryan will end up at a HYPS. BTW this thread obviously is a light one with a bit of humor so OC haters find something better to do!

Nah, UCLA not USC.

Will they all go to college together? (a la Boy Meets World)

That would be an interesting application:

Grades:
-Not sure, the show didn't assign me exact numbers.

Extracurriculars:
-Hot
-Currently in jail
-...does being hot count?
-what about being pretty?

I want to see how involved Julie Cooper gets with Marissa's college application process! And- I bet Seth can write a great essay.

Seeing as how the show's creator is an 'SC grad and USC is often subtly worked into the show (guy from first season's rich dad went to SC, Marissa has worn an 'SC sweater numerous times, last night's season premiere mentioned USC), it seems like the logical place for at least one of them (Seth?) to apply to.

And how could Ryan possibly end up at HYPS? Perhaps Seth... who also has the Berkeley legacy thing going for him though they don't really look at that too much...

I think they will go to Berkeley and/or USC. Kirsten and Sandy went to Berkeley and USC has been mentioned in the show several times. The creator of the OC went to USC and got the idea to make the show because of Newport USC kids! Also, on one of the first episodes Kirsten told Ryan something like, "if you graduate from harbor you can get into any UC." Ryan will be an architecture major, Seth will be an art major, but I'm not sure about Marissa and Summer though.

They'll probably go to different schools in the same city. Or maybe Marissa won't go to school at all because she shot Trey, and no school wants that. But Ryan could go to Stanford seeing as how he's a physics/architecture wiz and he could write a great essay about how he's turned his life around w/ the Cohens.

I'm not sure if HYPS would take him with his criminal record. If you read The Gatekeepers, there was this one girl who was rejected by I think all of the top colleges because she had a record of marijuana possession (one offense in the form of a brownie; she at least had the character to confess yet she still got screwed over). Why take someone with a history when you can easily admit someone with no problems and similar, if not better, stats?

Then again, this is a TV show...who knows what could happen...

towerpumpkin: I cannot believe you took the time to analyze that and reference The Gatekeepers.....

welcome to CC. where overanalyzing is a way of life

So true, tranman.

They can't go to college, the show will fall apart. (cough as if it hasn't already cough) :)

The rich white kids go to USC. The smart Asians go to UCLA or Berkeley. The rest go to weaker UC's and Calstates.

What is OC?

They should go to Yale with Rory, she never seems to have to go to class and has plenty of time for trauma and drama.
