So now that it has been officially announced that decisions will be available on Thursday at 6, things are starting to become very real. Decisions are less than a week away. Where do YOU plan to be when you open your decision and find out the fate of your next four years? I plan on going in my room and locking the door to check. I'll have my iPod hooked up to my speakers; if I get in, I'll blast We Are The Champions. If not...Chief Keef's That's that Sh** I Don't Like.

My first swim meet of the season starts Thursday at six. It’s a lose lose scenario (swim wise), if I don’t check, then I can only think about checking, if I do check then I can’t stop thinking about the admissions decision. Looks like I’m not going to be too focused that meet.

How do you know that the results are coming out on Thursday?

Duke sent out an email last night.

School. Middle of the quad. Around all my friends. Bad for me

Home, with my mother hovering.

At an all-county band rehearsal. Starts exactly at 6. Not sure whether I should check it when I get there or leave it for when I get home.

@knockaround and RedKnightmare - please do not view your decision in public. Unless you are exceptionally practiced at hiding your thoughts, it will be a significant emotional event for you either way. Everyone who knows what you are looking at will immediately know the decision. Further, you do not know the situations being faced by those who are around you. It is easy for anyone in this situation to say or do something that they will regret later.

It is worth waiting a few hours to ensure privacy and time to process your emotions.

I don’t want to go through this alone, no matter what happens. I think having my friends around will help me

Home…international applicant here and it will be around 3am. I’m torn between staying up to check it or just checking it in the morning.

I’ll have my bff on skype with me when i check it :)

At this point, i’m almost certain that it’s going to be a deferral. Out of the 20-25 internationals they do accept with financial aid, what are the chances that they will accept one in Early decision. they probably want to compare all of us before they choose the lucky 20 lol
