If you were accepted to Fordham University as well as Boston College, which would you choose to attend? Why? Thank you, all replies are most welcome.

oops......

Boston College. Better academics, more resources, better campus life...in short, more complete undergraduate experience.

Thank you.

Tough choice, but probably Fordham. Both schools are almost the same academic wise, and it comes down to NY vs. Boston, and NY wins.

I'd pick Fordham. BC has much better academics, but it's Jesuit, and I'm Jewish, and I don't want to be a tiny minority on campus.

HeavenWood,

Fordham University is a Jesuit school as well. I spend a lot of time there, it's religiously diverse.

Well, according to USNews, Boston College is ranked at 40, and Fordham University is ranked at 68.

BC. Boston is a much better college town, BC has a livelier social scene, better academics, more recognition, and a nicer campus/architecture.

If I had to choose between those two schools, I would choose Fordham. Who needs a college campus, when you have NYC as your playground? Also, Fordham is well-known for their Theatre Program and they don't require a big amount of religion classes in order to graduate (only need one mandatory religion class). But, it also depends on the campus, I would rather go to Fordham-Lincoln Center, rather than their other campuses.

Boston College - better name recognition, apparently more breadth academically and personally I'd sooner do Boston than NYC.

"Who needs a college campus, when you have NYC as your playground?"

Are you kidding? A city is not a campus. It does not provide the sort of community that a cohesive and spirited campus provides. Some people do not care for those things, and in their case, your question is valid. But I'd say that the vast majority of students want to experience campus life.
