As of 20 minutes ago, all of my acceptances that matter are in. Here are the schools that I'm actually considering out of where I applied. So, for the hell of it, where would you go? Ignore money.

Boston College
Boston University
NYU
McGill

I would go to Boston College or NYU. In fact, I am on vacation in Montreal right now, and although I know the academics at McGill are excellent, the city and the environment just don't do it for me. It's definitely not that big of a city and much of the city is industrial or barren (brick factories, empty lots, dirt parking lots, etc); i think it would get old pretty quickly. I'm just talking about the city though. I haven't seen the university yet. I think you could get just as good as or almost as good of an education at NYU or BC, and personally I like those environments much better.

Personally I loved Montreal. Many people consider it to be one of the best college towns in North America, and it has an excellent nightlife if that's your thing (of course, they also primarily speak French up there).

Edit: also, if gambling is your thing, IIRC the gambling age in Quebec is 18 and Montreal Casino is supposed to be pretty good.
