where would you go?

I have been lucky enough to get into a number of really nice colleges with great aid offers.
But now i can't choose! its a real dilemma, so i want some advice and opinions on this.
I am posting colleges where i have been accepted with the amount i get in grant money. Choose the college you would go to> Cost of attendence is roughly 50000 at all these universities.

Carleton college - 44000
Emory university - 49000
Boston university (honors program) - 50000
Brandeis university - 44000
Northeasetern university - 23000
Case western university - 26000

My major is economics and i am really confused between Carleton, Emory and BU's honors program and Brandeis.

HELP!

My top 3 colleges would be Emory, Boston and Carleton based on their reputation and your grants. Good luck anyway!

I am not at all being biased here Shreya but I think Emory would be good.

As opposed to poly, I am really not biased but I would pick Emory too.

LOL! No, really :D

You can transfer to Goizueta which is very highly ranked and has great job opportunities.
Carleton - no idea.
Brandeis - more humanities-like so I don’t know if it would be good.
BU - they have great business programs but the campus (or lack of it, actually) is awful. Bang in the middle of the city and no proper campus feel, you know?

Carleton over all of them, anyday.

CArleton is what I would go with. Great place. :)

if you want to go to grad school in economics, I would say carleton.

Congrats shreya!!!

I would pick Emory or Carleton because I like a small-college environment. BC is too large, Brandeis too Jewish (no offense to the Jewish community!) and Northeastern and Case Western are too expensive given the other choices.

Thinking about it again I would probably pick Emory because it’s too cold in Minnesota (where Carleton is). But my choice rests purely on personal preferences - you would have a great educational experience at all of these colleges!

^ Don’t listen to her. She didn’t even add me on Facebook after telling me so.

j/k :D

carleton..
my sis apply to there too..havent heard anything

ajayc, I was under the impression that I added you. Did I not???

Would I be ranting here? :p

Thanks for the link aiayc :)

shreya, please let us know where you eventually decide to go.

I would choose Emory too :stuck_out_tongue:
(why did I think that Emory didn’t give fin aid to internationals; if I had known I would certainly have applied)

Without doubts, Carleton.

I think Emory considers internationals for merit scholarships but not need-based aid.

I would choose Carleton but maybe thats because I have a very negative view of the south.

Hey, I never knew Carleton would win so many votes! I was thinking of it as a some mediocre LAC! LOL

It looks like I do not really have accurate knowledge about the colleges in the States.

And good luck to the OP!

PS: Daniel, where are you going to go?

I hope you do pick Carleton!
