Where would you park?

My parents are moving to Australia as soon as I graduate from high school..

So, I'll have to take my car to New York (yeah. from California)

How's the parking around NYU?

um......do you have a few hundred to lose every month? parking is expensive....:( can you leave it at a friend's house or something?

Unfortunatelly, no :(

ugh maybe I'll have to park somewhere away from the city...

the problem is it's a pretty new car (2005), and I can't sell it since I had a accident :(

you know, all my friends live in California and it is very unlikely for me to go back and forth often (and of course, since my home's not gonna be there, I won't be coming back for breaks either..)

Get it fixed, then sell it. You WON'T need it....if you stay in NYC, you probably would never need it again. That's just my opinion and my experience.........even leaving it in a car park would run you the risk of getting it broken into (my mom commutted from NJ to NYC and left her car in a car park everyday--once out of the year she worked, it was broken into. imagine if you left you car there forever...)

i'd sell it

i concur.....

Your car will own you if you don't sell it. NYC is a horrible place to own a car. Garages are really expensive and taking it around town is nuts.

what is the make/model?
what is the damage?

i live outside the city, and i know people that could take that off of your hands. it really is impossible to own a car if you go to nyu. its just not practical.

SELL IT. DONATE IT. DITCH IT ON THE NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE. GET RID OF IT, SOMEHOW.

You don't need it. The public transportation's good enough to take you anywhere anytime.

^^^ haha but true

Parking is INSANE in New York. Seriously, last week I just saw a sign for a parking garage that read $24 bucks per hour. Obscene.

the new jersey turnpike is so disgusting, just passing through it i feel as though i've raised my risk of lung cancer by 200%
