<p>Well, what I meant was, when you get your letters, just for the sake of equality that they were all online, and you had internet access wherever you were, which of your schools would you open first? You can be specific, like "I'd open Andover, then Exeter" or something more general, like, "My safeties, my reaches, then my matches."</p>
<p>I honestly don't know, because if I open a safety letter and I'm rejected, then I'll feel uber bad because if I got rejected from School Safety, then would it even be possible I'd be accepted for School Reach?</p>
<p>And of course starting with the best is kind of like watching spoilers of a movie, but in a more dramatic, emotional way.</p>
<p>I’m gonna start with my safeties because, idk I just think I have a good chance of getting in them. Then I’d go to the big dogs and cross my fingers. But, only one is online-my saftey. Then the big dog will be apparent because of the envelope. I know for a fact that if your rejected it will be small and if your admitted it will be a big packet through FedEx.</p>
<p>I will start with the school I want to go to the least just to see how if I got in, but it won’t really mean anything to me (my interview was HORID (which did influence my decision). Then my second choice, then my third. In doing this, if I get into my 2nd or 3rd choices, I can think “at least I’m going somewhere” rather than, if I opened my 1st choice first and didn’t get in, I’d be really upset.</p>
<p>If it were up to me I would open S’s first choice, then middle, then the safety last. That way if S is rejected from reach schools we end on a positive note with, hopefully, an acceptance. I have a feeling he will go for the biggest though! It’s only human nature to want to see what’s in that big package- esp since it may have a goodie from the school like a poster or something. I wish they sent you a school sweatshirt if you were accepted!</p>

then, i’d look at my not-so-favorites first, my favorites, and then my top choices…
i don’t care where i get accepted, i just want to get accepted!!!

<p>I’m debating whether to wait for all three before opening any… (like if one comes on the 10th, one the 11th, and one the 12th) and then I leave for vacation on the 14th…</p>
<p>oh. btw. it is apparently a widely known fact that in the US Tuesday is (for some reason) a “slow” mail day, and not many envelopes arrive (only bills, catalogs) so I would expect to get most decision wednesday the 11th</p>
<p>We are trying to decide whether or not to wait for the envelopes. We’re in a small town not in the Northeast, so I’m imagining a letter coming from say Lakeville to our town taking several days. Right now we have a list of when the notifications are available online and are planning our afternoon of the 10th accordingly! 3:00 Choate, 6:00 Hotchkiss, etc…lots of hopefully celebratory wine (for me, not pom daughter)!</p>
<p>I am viewing everything on wednsday morning! Tuesday is the a terribly unlucky day. 9-11 was on a tuesday. I was in a car accident on tuesday. I had a compound fracture on my arm on tuesday (football). The list goes on and on…</p>
<p>I really want the decisions to come now. I am bored out of my mind</p>

i think ill juz open them in the order they arrive…
but then it might take a really long time (im international) so idk…
or should i wait till they all get here then open them one by one?
